Playbook has the exclusive footage of Diallo going Air Thunder over Nas's head!
Hamidou Diallo, the 21-year old NBA dunk phenom for the Oklahoma City Thunder, recently attended a Playbook youth basketball camp and balled with the kids. Hosting NBA players is great for any youth sports league or camp to gain exposure and publicity for their organization. Nothing is more exciting to kids (and parents) than to meet athletes, which could drive up attendance for the event. With Playbook, you can run any kind of fundraising event which will automatically register and keep track of your donations.
Hamidou, who said during the event "I'm more that just a dunker", dunked over Playbook event coordinator Nas Nuru with ease in the front of the kids. Hamidou is right, he isn't just a dunker- he gives back to his community, which is bigger than sports.
Hamidou grew up in Queens, New York, and played for the Kentucky Wildcats in college. Hamidou was drafted 45th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft, and played his rookie season for the Thunder. During the 2019 NBA Dunk Content, Hamidou dunked over the massive Shaquille O'Neal and rapper Quavo. Hamidou won the dunk contest over contestants Dennis Smith Jr, Miles Bridges, and John Collins.
In Hamidou's rookie season, he played 51 games for the Thunder, averaging 3.7 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.3 minutes per game. The rebuilding Thunder should give the young Hamidou a greater role in the rotation next season.
